The English Access
Micro-Scholarship Programme

The English Access Microscholarship Program is an initiative of the United States Embassy/Consulate General in South Africa and the United States Department of State. This programme locates bright young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and enters them into a two year scheme of academic support and personal development. There are a number of centres in Southern Africa, plus others all over the world including Asia, South America and Europe. Learning Alive is a contracted delivery partner for this programme, and in 2015 created the curriculum materials currently in use across Africa.

Fear-Free Females  - Say no to Gender Based Violence!

Learning Alive are passionate advocates of Drama-in-Education as research shows it's one of the most powerful ways to change behaviour and attitudes of young people. With this in mind we have created the FEAR-FREE FEMALES anti-gender based violence project.

The project will involve visits to schools by Learning Alive's qualified teachers and actor-facilitators who will deliver a Drama-in-Education performance followed by interactive workshops. The workshops will immerse the learners high-impact, thought-provoking activities on the theme of ending GBV.  We will also work with school educators to build on the visits by providing free of charge resources.

If you would like to book a visit please contact us.

Dynamic Page Turners
